We had a special birthday yesterday , Leo was born on September 5th, 1923 in Illinois. He has many fond childhood memories of growing up on his family's farm, helping to raise the livestock and tend to the crops. Leo graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in business administration. He served in the United States Air Force for three years, 11 months, and 22 days during WWII with 21 successful missions; and reached the rank of tech sergeant. He was stationed in Italy and was the radio operator on a B24 bomber that flew over Germany. He received the Air Medal award and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal. Leo turned 101 at Marion woods we have the honor to have you as a resident. Your journey is like a library full of captivating stories.
